Established in 2016, East Coast Corals was brought to the world as a side project, whilst Chris (owner) was undertaking his thesis on coral morphology at the University of Sydney. The premise of East Coast Corals was to experiment and to confirm (scientifically and anecdotally) the findings of relevant literature at the time.

During this process, surplus corals were sold back to university and the local reefing community (both hobbyists and shops) to help pay for the experimentation. As we experimented and developed our range of trace elements, several community members reached out for our products to replicate the success we were having in-house. One thing lead to another, and now we have a full retail range of products available for the reefing community.

Today, everything we do is lead by science. Our products are made in house, using only the highest-grade ingredients, and are mixed for true reef performance. All our products have been tested rigorously on a variety of corals and reef inhabitants at the East Coast Corals farm.
